On Thursday, Palatka got the win against Baldwin by a conclusive 54-32. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-4.
Palatka found their leader in underclassman Jhane Fountain , who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charnelle Cue , who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds.
The victory got Palatka back to even at 1-1. As for Baldwin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palatka will take on Matanzas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Matanzas is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Baldwin, they will be playing at home against First Coast Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
