North Central AA recap November 5, 2013
Beloit added to the longest winning streak in North Central AA this week by beating Minneapolis, 68-13. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Trojans.
The Lions fell to Beloit 68-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Southeast of Saline's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cody Schlesener threw for 55 yards and Bailey Ramsey had 32 yards receiving. On the ground Keith Short chipped in 109 yards. Kyler Sager helped Southeast of Saline's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 21 yards.
Short was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 109 yards as the Trojans bested Ellsworth. Teammate Dane Long added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Southeast of Saline's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Schlesener has thrown for 911 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Matthew Helvey has 24 catches for 424 yards.
Short has rushed for 948 yards on 147 carries so far this year.
Greg Koenig's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 68 points on Minneapolis.
