The Lincoln Abes will head out on the road to face off against the Bellarmine Prep Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Lincoln came out on top against Foss on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Abes were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Falcons. The Abes haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Willie Ross made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 16 over 6.1 innings pitched. He has become a key player for Lincoln: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 1-8 otherwise. Ross was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Lincoln got a massive performance out of Emmett Oride-Grove, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Oride-Grove a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charles Abrams, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bellarmine Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Silas get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Monday.
Bellarmine Prep also got a great performance from Joshua Morales as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. Morales has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bellarmine Prep's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Calvin Dossett, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Adrian Rodriguez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Lincoln's record now sits at 3-9. As for Bellarmine Prep, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lincoln has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bellarmine Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lincoln might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Bellarmine Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Abes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
