 Thomas More Prep-Marian will bounce into Friday's   contest after  beating Phillipsburg, who they hadn't topped in eight consecutive meetings. Thomas More Prep-Marian came out on top against Phillipsburg by a score of  30-22  on Friday.
 Thomas More Prep-Marian can attribute much of their success to  Carson Liles, who rushed for 36 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 235 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave  Liles a new career-high in  rushing yards.  Jacob Seib was  Liles' top target, picking up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Thomas More Prep-Marian wouldn't let Phillipsburg keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Thomas More Prep-Marian can thank  Jackson Gillespie and  Grant Nehls Nehls for forcing both of them.
 Meanwhile, Stanton County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss  dating back to last season. They were dealt  a  55-0 defeat at the hands of Ellinwood.
 Thomas More Prep-Marian now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Stanton County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
