The Stamford Bulldogs were the 56-41 winner over the Merkel Badgers when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. Stamford's tough 74-54 loss to Merkel on Tuesday might stick with them for a while.
Stamford's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Pablo Gutierrez, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Brady, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Stamford's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Merkel, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Stamford will head out on the road to face off against Jayton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Merkel, they will square off against Graham at 10:20 p.m. on Thursday.
