On Friday, Southview Christian lost to Millers Creek Christian on the road by a decisive 48-33 margin.
Dakota Farthing and Brady Andreas certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Farthing scored 17 points, while Andreas scored 12 points. That was a full 51.5% of Southview Christian's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
It was another big night for Cam Layaou, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds for Millers Creek Christian. That makes it four consecutive games in which Layaou has scored at least a third of Millers Creek Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Corban Huffman, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Southview Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Millers Creek Christian, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Southview Christian on the road again on Friday and play against New Manna Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Millers Creek Christian, they will be playing at home against Victory Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victory Christian Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
