Hawaiian Mission Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Island Pacific Academy Navigators at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Hawaiian Mission Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Central Valley Christian Academy, taking the game 40-31. The victory was just what Hawaiian Mission Academy needed coming off of a 55-28 loss in their prior match.
Rodnyl Tuscano and Zion Slade were among the main playmakers for Hawaiian Mission Academy as the former scored ten points along with four steals and the latter scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Slade scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailana Tavares, who scored four points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Island Pacific Academy entered their tilt with Lanakila Baptist with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Island Pacific Academy walked away with a 45-35 win over Lanakila Baptist on Wednesday.
Hawaiian Mission Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Island Pacific Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4.
