The San Pasqual Golden Eagles struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Escondido Charter White Tigers had 700% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. San Pasqual lost to Escondido Charter at home by a decisive 67-52 margin. Loss or not, San Pasqual got some senior leadership from Jonathan Lopez who scored 16 points along with 4 steals and Isaac Kohlmeier who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Kohlmeier scored a full 32.7% of San Pasqual's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Julius Mikhail was another key contributor, scoring 4 points.
Escondido Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joe Scates, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Mowrey, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for San Pasqual and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Escondido Charter, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
San Pasqual will play host again and welcome Grossmont, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Grossmont comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Escondido Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mission Vista at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Mission Vista presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Escondido Charter in California (Mission Vista is ranked 81st, while Escondido Charter is ranked 254th).
