Even though the Exeter Tigers have not done well against the Golden City Eagles recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Exeter strolled past Golden City with points to spare, taking the game 55-41. The victory was nothing new for Exeter as they're now sitting on three straight.
Despite the defeat, Golden City saw an underclassman step up: Jamison Menadue scored 17 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Spencer Parrill, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Exeter's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-9. As for Golden City, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Exeter will take on McAuley Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Golden City, they will head out on the road to take on New Covenant Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
