The Richland Royals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 54-31 defeat at the hands of Colleyville Heritage. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Richland has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colleyville Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cash Gardner, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was D?mauri Evans, who scored nine points.
Richland dropped their record down to 4-20 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Colleyville Heritage, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-5.
Richland will head out on the road to take on Birdville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Birdville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richland in Texas (Birdville is ranked 136th, while Richland is ranked 816th). As for Colleyville Heritage, they will be playing at home against Lake Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
