Cole Valley Christian was the  8-6 winner over Marsing when they last played one another  two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Cole Valley Christian Chargers fell just short of the Marsing Huskies by a score of  4-2 on Saturday.
 Cole Valley Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Noah Grimm, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Cole Valley Christian  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 12  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marsing only tossed eight.
 On Marsing's side,  Teagan Kinney made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Kinney has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Kinney was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Dresden Wood and  Luke Steinmeyer did most of the damage at the plate:  Wood  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI, while  Steinmeyer  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Steinmeyer has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.
 Cole Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6-1. As for Marsing, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-10.
 Cole Valley Christian will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against New Plymouth at 5:00  p.m. Cole Valley Christian will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak  alive. As for Marsing, they will square off against Nampa Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Nampa Christian will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Marsing surely won't give up without a fight.
