Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Goodrich's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Goodrich lost to North Branch back in June of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Martians walked away with a 7-3 win over the Broncos. That's two games straight that the Martians have won by exactly four runs.

Jayden Gohs was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Ayannah Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Goodrich is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Branch, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Looking ahead, Goodrich will head out to square off against Negaunee at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Branch, they will be playing at home against Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight.
