Basketball Game Preview: Dora Bulldogs vs. Tarrant Wildcats

The Dora Bulldogs will square off against the Tarrant Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Dora took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-48 win over Hanceville.

Chijioke Washington had an outrageously good game as he went 9 of 14 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bartley Black, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Tarrant's strategy against Holy Family Catholic on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Tarrant blew Holy Family Catholic out of the water with an 88-32 final score. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Dora better keep an eye on Jamaureu Berry. He was instrumental in Tarrant's win, going 7 of 10 on his way to 18 points and three steals. Berry's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalvin Walker, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 15 points.

Tarrant is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Dora, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.
