3A Sunset recap Oct. 16, 2012
Coquille extended the longest winning streak in 3A Sunset this week by beating Myrtle Point, 56-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Coquille led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Bobcats. Tristan Dixon ran for 196 yards in the win.
Coquille's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Red Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Arrant has thrown for 182 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Larry Bowen has five catches for 94 yards. Dixon leads the league in rushing with 543 yards.
A big matchup in 3A Sunset this week will be when David Thomason's team takes on Bandon/Pacific. At the moment, the Red Devils are in first, while the Tigers are in third.
