It was a good run, but the Woodcreek Timberwolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 72-55 to Inderkum. Woodcreek has not had much luck with Inderkum recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Woodcreek still got an impressive performance from Joey Nielsen, who scored 13 points. Nielsen set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Another player making a difference was Max VanLaningham, who scored ten points.
Leading Inderkum to victory were Jeremiah Butler and Taylen Goodman. Butler dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Goodman dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Nicholas Fletcher was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Woodcreek's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-4. As for Inderkum, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
Woodcreek will take on Bella Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bella Vista will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 581st, while Woodcreek is ranked 87th). As for Inderkum, they will head out on the road to face off against Yuba City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yuba City is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
