Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Liberty Christian lost against Prince of Peace back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Liberty Christian Warriors took a 62-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Prince of Peace Eagles. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Liberty Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Easton Hupp, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. Hupp's morning made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Mitchell, who posted seven points in addition to 13 boards and three steals.

Liberty Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12. As for Prince of Peace, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian will welcome Parish Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th. As for Prince of Peace, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pantego Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pantego Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Prince of Peace likes a good challenge.
