Baseball Recap: Beaufort Academy Comes Up Short

Beaufort Academy lost against Coastal HomeSchool two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Beaufort Academy Eagles took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Beaufort Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nic Shuford, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Shuford also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

Beaufort Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Coastal HomeSchool, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

Coming up, Beaufort Academy will host Patrick Henry Academy at 6:00 p.m. on March 28th. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they will take on Augusta E at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Augusta E's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Coastal HomeSchool's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
