The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes are taking a road trip to face off against the Seymour Thunder at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Fox Valley Lutheran will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Fox Valley Lutheran barely beat Oconto Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Foxes' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 12-0 shutout on Friday. The Foxes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Brianna Dahlke and Madison Babcock were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Dahlke pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Babcock struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. At bat, Dahlke went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI, while Babcock got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nora Probst, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Claire Pfrang was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
Fox Valley Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Seymour not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 21, 2024 (when they won 14-3). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over Notre Dame Academy. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Tritons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Kendra Rettler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Addison Wery and Lyla Schueler did most of the damage at the plate: Wery got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Schueler went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave Schueler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gillian Herrala, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Fox Valley Lutheran pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Seymour, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Fox Valley Lutheran might still be hurting after the 14-3 loss they got from Seymour in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
