Newberry put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Business Engineering Science Tech Eagles 76-49. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Business Engineering Science Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Mickell, who went 9 of 17 en route to 20 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Mickell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Mickell, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Newberry's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Business Engineering Science Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-4.

Newberry didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 88-41 win against Palatka on the 7th. As for Business Engineering Science Tech, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Francis at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
