The Pace Academy Knights can now show off 17 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They put the hurt on Lovett with a sharp 68-43 win. The win was familiar territory for Pace Academy who now have seven in a row.
Eric Chatfield continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Greene, who scored ten points along with six assists and four steals.
Lovett's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kingston Whitty, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Jack Rees who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cameron Cannon, who scored nine points.
Pace Academy pushed their record up to 21-3 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.9 points. As for Lovett, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pace Academy will square off against Luella at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pace Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Luella likes a good challenge. As for Lovett, they will head out on the road to take on Stockbridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lovett is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stockbridge in Georgia (Lovett is ranked 160th, while Stockbridge is ranked 451st).
