The East Aurora Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eden Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: East Aurora has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Eden will arrive with four straight victories.
East Aurora pushed their score all the way to 70 on January 5th, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Cleveland Hill 74-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game back in December of 2023 (60), East Aurora still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Eden stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over Global Concepts. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.
Eden had a senior duo take command as Mike Weyland scored 22 points along with five steals and Taesyn Slating scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks. Slating has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Mason, who scored four points along with six assists and five rebounds.
East Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Eden, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
