The Grafton Clippers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season. They really took it to York for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-7 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Grafton has managed all season.
Grafton found their leader in underclassman Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Ragland has scored at least 25% of Grafton's points. Alonni Wells was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight steals and five assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Grafton and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for York, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Grafton will head out on the road to face off against Jamestown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully Grafton likes a good challenge. As for York, they will be playing at home against Smithfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
