Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Beddingfield Bruins walked away with it. They had just enough and edged James Kenan out 18-16. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Beddingfield.
Brian Jones threw for 74 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Taevon Edwards was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Desmond Wooten rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Beddingfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for James Kenan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Beddingfield will head out on the road to face off against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Beddingfield likes a good challenge. James Kenan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
