Heritage Academy has won five straight games at home, while Morenci has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Heroes will welcome the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Heritage Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Heritage Academy made easy work of Miami and carried off a 21-1 victory. Considering the Heroes have won 17 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sieana Soltero was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Heritage Academy got a massive performance out of Christina Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Martinez has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rowan Asanovich, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Heritage Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .621. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Morenci ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Johns, sneaking past 9-7.
Cameryn Woodall spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kieralyn Madrigal, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Jaliyah Hernandez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Morenci has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Heritage Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Morenci struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.9 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
