Jeffrey Smith3rd Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Marana got the W thanks in part to Jeffrey Smith3Rd playing the best football he has all season. Smith3Rd rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown.
Smith3Rd and Marana will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Buena at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. On Friday, Cienega got the W thanks in part to Ledainean Moore playing the best football he has all season. Moore rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win snapped Cienega's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. Moore and Cienega will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Marana Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Dezmen Roebuck
Dezmen Roebuck's big game helped extend Marana's winning streak to seven on Friday. Roebuck was unstoppable, picking up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 114 receiving yards dating back to last season.
If history really does repeat itself, Roebuck might just drop another big game when he faces off against Buena on Friday. When Roebuck last faced the Colts back in September of 2023, he picked up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
