Softball Recap: Atmore Christian Takes a Loss

Atmore Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-5 to the Snook Christian Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 back in February.

Amanda Morris and Tamra Stoltzfus did some serious damage despite the final result: Morris scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2, while Stoltzfus scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-1. Morris is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Keeleigh Strawbridge was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Atmore Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Snook Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Atmore Christian will square off against Aletheia Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Atmore Christian has given up an average of 13.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up.
