Chicago Mathematics & Science has not had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayomide Salami, who scored 14 points. That was a full 36.8% of Chicago Mathematics & Science's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sorochi Nwachukwu was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Mather's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashley Lopez, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Janelle Eliot, who scored ten points.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Mather, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Von Steuben the next time they take the court. Mather will head out to face Von Steuben at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Chicago Mathematics & Science will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
