In what's become a running theme this season, the Jackson-Reed Tigers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Bell at home to the tune of 58-1. That looming 58-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Jackson-Reed yet this season.
Jackson-Reed was led to victory by Aminyah Muhammed and Kryslynn Stewart. Muhammed scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals, while Stewart scored 16 points along with five steals. Stewart has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michaela Jenkins, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Jackson-Reed's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.44 points. As for Bell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Jackson-Reed will be playing in front of their home fans against Bard at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bard comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Bell's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
