In what's become a running theme this season, the Carlisle County Comets gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They really took it to Fulton City for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-30 victory on the road. Winning may never get old, but Carlisle County sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carlisle County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zack Grogan, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Rickard, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Carlisle County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Fulton City, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Trigg County at 4:00 p.m. on January 27th. Trigg County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Carlisle County likes a good challenge. As for Fulton City, they will be playing at home against Hickman County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Hickman County is ranked 279th, while Fulton City is ranked 278th).
