Chattahoochee is on a five-game streak of home losses, North Springs a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Chattahoochee Cougars will take on the North Springs Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chattahoochee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Chattahoochee didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Centennial, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chattahoochee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Berninger, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Berninger has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Brooklinne Dorr was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, North Springs came up short against Cambridge on Tuesday and fell 45-35. North Springs has not had much luck with Cambridge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Chattahoochee's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for North Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.
Everything went Chattahoochee's way against North Springs when the teams last played back in January as Chattahoochee made off with a 51-31 win. Does Chattahoochee have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Springs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
