The Waccamaw Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-46 to Manning. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Waccamaw in their matchups with Manning: they've now lost four in a row.
Waccamaw lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dutch Kerns, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Kerns hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Tyrese Haynes, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Tavion Carter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Manning, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 19 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lovell Stevenson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Waccamaw has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Manning, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waccamaw will take on Georgetown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Manning, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aynor is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
