The Brookville Blue Devils were the 51-9 winner over the Northridge Polar Bears when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Brookville took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northridge on Monday. That's two games in a row now that Brookville has lost by exactly 12 points.
Brookville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashlee Haupt, who scored nine points along with six steals. Haupt hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Sara Carr, who scored eight points.
Brookville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-8. As for Northridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookville will square off against Eaton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Eaton is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. Northridge will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Lehman Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th.
