That result was just more of the same for these two, as Goldstein also won the last time the pair played back in February.
When it comes to explaining why Medgar Evers College Prep lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Dejon Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was Williams' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jared Percy, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists.
Goldstein's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goldstein will take on Prospect Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medgar Evers College Prep, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Wingate at 5:00 p.m. on December 4th.
