Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwest). Everything went their way against the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans on Thursday as they made off with a 16-6 victory. The Mounties haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lucy Bivens (2025) was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Bivens (2025) was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mollie Robinson (2025), who went 3-for-5 with six RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Casey Jahr (2027) also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Northwest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Northwest's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they moved to 13-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Northwest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Titans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
