Woodlan and Heritage are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Warriors will take on the Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodlan will be strutting in after a victory while Heritage will be coming in after a loss.
While Woodlan's win against Garrett wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Railroaders 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Railroaders: they've now won three in a row.

Jade Lichty was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Victoria Crozier was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Whitko. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly two runs.
Abriyah James made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Buuck, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Woodlan's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 13-9.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Woodlan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .412. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .331. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Woodlan came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
