The San Juan Broncos suffered their biggest loss since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by North Summit 66-32. While losing is never fun, San Juan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while North Summit is ranked ninth).
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Synessa Atcitty, who scored 12 points. Khimya Fullwood was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
San Juan bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for North Summit, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Juan will square off against Whitehorse at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitehorse is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for North Summit, they will head out on the road to face off against North Sevier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Sevier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
