Red River waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Mansfield Wolverines a 19-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Red River got a massive performance out of Jayden Stewart, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Stewart a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Eli Murphy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Red River's victory bumped their record up to 12-4-1. As for Mansfield, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Red River will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mansfield: the pair will be back at it again later today.
