Basketball Recap: Dunbar Skates Past Carver Vo-Tech with Ease

After losing to Carver Vo-Tech the last time they met, Dunbar decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dunbar Poets took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 70-40 victory over the Carver Vo-Tech Bears. The Poets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 30 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Carver Vo-Tech saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyjuan Savage went 6 of 8 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Devaughn Bundy, who posted ten points.

The win made it two in a row for Dunbar and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Carver Vo-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Dunbar has already played their next game, a 56-53 victory against Milford Mill Academy on the 1st. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they will square off against Digital Harbor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
