Arvada hasn't had much luck against Alameda recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Arvada came out on top against Jefferson last Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 18-run first inning. The Bulldogs blew past the Jeff Saint 23-9. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Jeff Saint: they've now won six in a row.

Isaac Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
Arvada always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .552 that Jefferson posted.
Meanwhile, Alameda beat The Academy 13-9 on Saturday.
Hudson Judy and Alan Chairez did most of the damage at the plate: Judy went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Chairez went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Chairez has snagged this season. Christopher Garcia was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Alameda's record now sits at 4-1. As for Arvada, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Alameda's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Arvada has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Alameda, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Arvada keep running through batters, or will the Pirates buck the trend?
Arvada suffered a grim 11-4 defeat to Alameda when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
