Freeburg fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 52-45 win over the Greenville Comets on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Midgets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Freeburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matt Pluff led the charge by going 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brady Kerr, who went 5 for 9 to rack up 11 points.

Freeburg's record is now 9-16. As for Greenville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.

Freeburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-46 victory against Okawville on the 4th. As for Greenville, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-47 win against Hillsboro on the 7th.
