Lowellville is 0-7 against Columbiana since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Lowellville Rockets will head out on the road to face off against the Columbiana Clippers at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Lowellville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Thursday.
Even though Lowellville has not done well against McDonald recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Lowellville came out on top against McDonald by a score of 50-40.
Serinna Tych was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 21 points along with five steals. Isabella Willrich was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Columbiana entered their tilt with Southern with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Columbiana walked away with a 35-26 win over Southern on Thursday.
Lowellville pushed their record up to 5-8 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. Columbiana's record is now 11-1.
Lowellville suffered a grim 50-30 defeat to Columbiana in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Lowellville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
