The Prattville Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 79-62 fall against Wetumpka. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (55), Prattville still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Prattville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ty Bryant. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with four steals. The game was Bryant's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donavan Brown, who scored 14 points.
Prattville has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Wetumpka, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Prattville will be home for the holidays to greet JAG at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wetumpka won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Saint James at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Saint James will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while Wetumpka is ranked 178th).
