E.L. Haynes has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the School Without Walls Penguins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Saturday, E.L. Haynes came up short against Washington Latin Public Charter School and fell 57-45.
E.L. Haynes' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jency Beatriz, who scored 15 points, and Juan Creamer who scored 14 points. Creamer scored a full 31.1% of E.L. Haynes' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Victor Bruce Jr, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday School Without Walls sidestepped Georgetown Day for a 56-54 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for School Without Walls.
Among those leading the charge was Chidiire Nwokwu, who scored 21 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals. Harry Megeath was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
The losses dropped E.L. Haynes to 0-2 and Washington Latin Public Charter School to 1-2.
E.L. Haynes came up short against School Without Walls in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 64-56. Thankfully for E.L. Haynes, Zachary Tulley (who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
