The First Colonial Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 65-25 loss at the hands of Bayside. First Colonial was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bayside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jessie Ware, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Ware posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds.
First Colonial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bayside, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Colonial won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Grassfield at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for Bayside, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Kempsville at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Kempsville is ranked 165th, while Bayside is ranked 143rd).
