St. Lucy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took  a  13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Salle Lancers. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
  Drew Casper and  Olivia Gilbert stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Casper  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while  Gilbert  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Natalia Velasco, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with.
 On La Salle's side, they got a  massive  performance out of  Alyssa Lewis, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaeley Aldana, who  went 2-for-5 with four  RBI and two  runs.
 St. Lucy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2. As for La Salle, their win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-9.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Lucy's will take on Upland at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. St. Lucy's is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game this season. As for La Salle, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary at 3:15  p.m. La Salle is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
