On Saturday, it was a hard-fought game, but Clayton Valley Charter had to settle for a 49-46 defeat against Sheldon.
When it comes to explaining why Clayton Valley Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Perryman. Despite the final result, he scored nine points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Simpson, who scored four points.
Clayton Valley Charter's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Sheldon, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clayton Valley Charter and Concord will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Concord will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 897th, while Clayton Valley Charter is ranked 178th). Sheldon will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
