After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Cardinal Newman, Oxbridge Academy was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  67-64  win over the Lake Worth Christian Defenders. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the ThunderWolves as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Oxbridge Academy was led to victory by  James Deyoung and  Jayden St. Fort.  Deyoung  went 8 of 13  en route to 22 points, while  St. Fort  went 8 for 13  on his way to 21  points. That's the most points  Deyoung has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Edmyer StJean, who  posted 11  points.
 Several Defenders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Landen Harwood, who  went 10 for 15  on his way to 26 points and four  steals. Harwood is  on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's  played.  Chase Troncale was another key player,  going 8 of 16  en route to 21  points in addition to six  boards and five  assists.
Oxbridge Academy's win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 3-11. As for Lake Worth Christian,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 9-6.
 Oxbridge Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  63-50  victory against Highlands Christian on the 10th. Lake Worth Christian has also  already played their next match,  a  61-41  win against Pine on the 10th.
