There's no place like home for King Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Laurens Academy Crusaders by a score of 12-8 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Joshua Oswald and Joseph Morse did most of the damage at the plate: Oswald scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Morse scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that Morse snagged this season. Landell Anderson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

King Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Laurens Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, King Academy will challenge Newberry Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laurens Academy, they will face off against Oakbrook Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakbrook Prep will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Laurens Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
