The Bulloch Academy Gators entered their tilt with the St. Andrew's Lions with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Bulloch Academy strolled past St. Andrew's with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 46-30. Given Bulloch Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while St. Andrew's is ranked 454th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ashantay Noble was her usual excellent self, scoring 13 points. Kaley Cardell was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Yates, who scored nine points.
Bulloch Academy has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for St. Andrew's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bulloch Academy will square off against Frederica Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Frederica Academy will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for St. Andrew's, they will head out on the road to take on Pinewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
