The Salome Frogs entered their tilt with the San Pasqual Valley Warriors with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Salome took their matchup on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 66-30 win over San Pasqual Valley. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Salome has posted yet this season.
Salome's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chris Smith, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Edgar Gamez was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Despite the defeat, San Pasqual Valley saw an underclassman step up: Isaiah Martinez dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Martinez has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Durand, who scored six points.
Salome's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for San Pasqual Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
